Sept Ice/Season Registration

Jamestown Hockey in cooperation with the University of Jamestown is proud to offer our September Ice Program. Cost is $200/player with a multi-child discount of $50 for each additional child registered. Use discount code MULTICHILD for any additional child registered for September Ice. You can register for September Ice via the Prowl Registration 2024-25 registration. September Ice registration is not required for regular season participation.

September Ice is an age-based skills development program taught by the Coaches and Players from the University of Jamestown. It will run three nights/week from September 8th through October 6th. The nights will be Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays; there will be a special Goalie only session on Tuesdays. The schedule and times can be found on the Schedule tab of our website. Participants are required to wear full protective gear, including neck laceration protection.

September Ice is a great way to get back in shape from the summer off season and prepare for tryouts and regular season.

Players age 3+ in Jamestown begin their hockey journey as Jamestown Prowl, playing at the Termite, Mite & Squirt levels. All teams practice at the Winter Sports Building located at 1009 7th St NE. All Jamestown Prowl Hockey teams are open to Boys and Girls. Please see the Jamestown Hockey Boosters Handbook for full details on our program, including fundraising and volunteer requirements.

The hockey season runs October - March, and we work to offer additional ice time after the season as the weather allows. Practice & game schedules will be available in the Crossbar mobile app (for registered players) and on our website when set for the season. Additional details on each level are available below.

USA Hockey registration is required annually for all players. If you have not already done so, you will be prompted to register & provide your player's USAH Confirmation number during registration. View 2024-2025 USA Hockey Fees. ($15 ND Affiliate Fee added for ages 7+)

Our youngest skaters! Players to learn to skate and learn the basics of hockey. Parents can expect 2-3 practices per week. Rental gear is available for $50 to check out for the season.

Birthdates: 1/1/2020 - 5/31/2021 - players may be moved between L2S, L2P and Play depending on their ability.

Season Fee: $250 if registration is completed before September 15, 2024 | $300 if registration is completed after September 15, 2024

Players in this group have mastered the basics of skating and will focus on learning the rules of hockey. Parents can expect 2-3 practices per week and at least one weekend Jamboree in February. Rental gear is available for $50 to check out for the season.

Birthdates: 1/1/2018 to 12/31/2019 - players may be moved up or down based on their ability

Season Fee: $250 if registration is completed before September 15, 2024 | $300 if registration is completed after September 15, 2024

This level focuses on learning to PLAY hockey. Parents can expect 3 practices per week, 6-8 travel games/Jamborees per season and one HOME Jamboree. Games are half-ice and no score is kept.

Birthdates: 1/1/2016 to 12/31/2017 - players may be moved between L2S, L2P and Play depending on their ability.

Season Fee: $250 if registration is completed before September 15, 2024 | $300 if registration is completed after September 15, 2024

This level offers the first experience with full-ice hockey, featuring scored games with officials and competitive tournaments. Parents can expect 3 practices per week, 20+ games and 2-3 tournaments per season.

Birthdates: 6/1/2013 to 12/31/2015

Season Fee: $450 if registration is completed before September 15, 2024 | $500 if registration is completed after September 15, 2024

All Jamestown Prowl players receive game jerseys which should only be worn for games only and must be returned at the end of the season. Game socks are available for purchase at the concession stand for $20.00/pair. Black & White game socks are required at the Squirt level.

Jamestown Hockey provides rental gear for players! The majority of our gear is sized for youth small to medium players and includes helmet, all pads and a practice jersey. We do have a selection of used skates and sticks that can be used, but we find many families choose buy these items for their child's specific size.

At the 12U Girls, Pee Wee and Bantam levels, our club co-ops with Valley City to form the JVC Prowl. Please see level description below for age ranges, season fees and tryout information. Once the regular season starts, players can expect 3 team practices per week, which rotate weekly between Jamestown & Valley City rinks, 20+ games, and 1-2 regular season tournaments. All JVC Teams compete in an NDAHA Conference with the ability to qualify to compete in their division's state tournament.

We are excited to continue to grow GIRLS hockey in Jamestown & Valley City! This team consists of a wider age range to provide an opportunity for girls to play hockey with their peers. There is currently one girls team with no tryouts.

Birthdates: 6/1/2011 - 12/31/2015

Season Fees: $650 if registration is completed before September 15, 2024 | $700 if registration is completed after September 15, 2024

This season we will field 3 JVC Pee Wee teams at the following levels ranging from B to A. Tryouts are held in late October, after which players are placed on team rosters. Players must be fully registered prior to the first day of tryouts to participate.

Birthdates: 6/1/2011 - 5/31/2013

Season Fees: $650 if registration is completed before September 15, 2024 | $700 if registration is completed after September 15, 2024

This season we will field 2 JVC Bantam teams at the following levels: A & B. Tryouts are held in late October, after which players are placed onto team rosters. Players must be fully registered prior to the first day of tryouts to participate.

Season Fees: $675 if registration is completed before September 15, 2024 | $725 if registration is completed after September 15, 2024

Prowl players purchase home and away game jerseys in their first year on a JVC team. Cost of the jerseys is $200, and can be worn throughout the remainder of your player's club hockey career. White and black game socks can also be purchased from the Jamestown concessions stand for $20/pair.
